After having returned from the crazy Indonesian wedding, I flew to Mexico a day later. It was my first time in this amazing country and I counted my blessings that I had the opportunity to shoot a really cool wedding there!
Robin is originally from Belgium and Maria from Chili. Together they have been living in Berlin for a while now, and they were thinking about a wedding location that was kind of ‘in the middle’ for both families and friends. That’s how they ended up in Mexico, in a beautiful 5-star resort on the beach of Playa Del Carmen. They invited me to capture this magical day and I had to keep myself from screaming!
The day started relaxed in the afternoon, where both parties got ready seperately. They met for the first time that day at the beginning of the ceremony, which was beautiful to see. After the ceremony underneath the palmtrees, everyone moved over to the beach while the sun was setting. The rest of the evening was spent on the beach with the sound of the waves crashing behind you and the biggest open bar I ever saw on a wedding. I think it’s safe to say that it was one hell of a party, that I will not soon forget.
Thank you a million for having me, Robin & Maria. I will forever be grateful to have been part of this beautiful day!
